Quality Assurance Specialist/Analyst

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of complete cycle of medical record retrieval process, tools and workflow for the team currently working.
  • On a monthly basis perform random as well as focused audits across all Operations team members. 
  • Create a pareto of the top errors and determine root cause(s).
  • Identify corrective/preventive actions and then work with the Managers and Medical Specialist to reduce these errors.
  • Very detail oriented and able to provide root cause of issue to the eHealth Technologies management team.
  • Teach/coach/mentor lower performing Medical Specialist with a clearly defined goal to improve their individual attainment and/or quality score.
  • Adheres to established business processes, policies, and regulations.
  • Ensures all policies and procedures are followed appropriately with emphasis on strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Performs at a high level of quality to eliminate the potential for incorrect transfer of Patient Health Information.
  • Maintains effective communication and good relationships with all eHealth employees.
  • The Quality Assurance Specialist will also serve as the back-up trainer for the new MEDICAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST.
  • Able to create SOP & Process flow

Information Privacy and Security

In an effort to safeguard the information privacy and security of all covered information Employee shall also be responsible for:

  1. Following eHealth Technologies’ information privacy and security policies, procedures, standard operating procedures, appendices, attachments, etc.
  2. Accessing, using, and disclosing only the minimum necessary covered information that is needed for job responsibilities, or otherwise allowed by law.
  3. Safeguarding the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of covered information always, whether or not on duty.

 Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required. AAS degree in related field preferred.
  • Currently eHealth Technologies is an employee in a level 3 position or higher for at least six months.
  • Demonstrates excellence in communication (written and verbal).
  • Ability to teach/coach/mentor Medical Specialist to ensure reduction in errors and rework.
  • Previous experience with data analysis preferred.
  • Proficiency in all aspects of PC utilization including MS office.
  • Good command over MS excel.
  • Knows what audit parameters is and how to audit case based on those parameters.
  • Demonstrates an uncompromising level of integrity, honesty, trustworthiness, and ethical behavior.
  • Proven ability to foster successful relationships through clear communication, swift problem resolution and mutual respect.
  • Ability to complete tasks accurately and within strict time constraints.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an expectation.
  • Work from the office as and when required.

Key Relationships:

  1. Directly supervised by the Manager Quality assurance.
  2. Interacts regularly with eHealth Technologies staff.

Essential Functions:

  1. Physical Requirements: Extended periods of time typing, data entry, sitting, read, writing. Lifting up to 20 lbs.
  2. Mental Requirements include: General, Visual, and Numerical Intelligence. Analytical skills.
  3. Reliably and regularly work scheduled shift.
  4. As eHealth Technologies’ workforce is currently teleworking remotely from home, it is a requirement of the position that employees have the following minimum requirements available in their home internet network, including a router that:
  • Must achieve minimum speeds of 100MBPS for download and 10MBPS for upload, or any other higher speed required for the work to be produced contingent upon your role.
  • Availability of at least two (2) Ethernet connections in the router to the internet source is required (for your PC and phone).
  • Workstation must be plugged directly into the router as a hardwire connection to high-speed internet is critical to maintaining approved speeds for optimal functioning of various operational hardware, software, and tools.
  • Router should be updated regularly with latest firmware, or ultimately replaced if router speeds are not within the minimum specifications above.
