Ray Scott brings his many years of experience in healthcare information technology, and is a widely respected authority in health information exchange and healthcare informatics. He co-founded Axolotl Corp. in 1995 to provide collaborative electronic workflow solutions for communities of health care providers. He was instrumental in creating the concepts around Clinical Messaging®, turning electronic medical record communication into a reality, and establishing it as a necessary requirement for successful health information exchanges and regional health information organizations.
Since successfully selling Axolotl Corp to OptumInsight, a subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group, Ray has been advising a number of promising healthcare information technology and informatics companies. He has also been very active in the eHealth Initiative, and other industry organizations.
