eHealth Technologies Celebrates Two-Millionth Patient Request

July 22, 2021

eHealth Company

eHealth Technologies recently surpassed a significant milestone in its company history, submitting its two-millionth patient request on June 30, 2021 at 4:54 p.m. That’s two million people receiving cancer, cardiac, and organ transplant diagnosis and treatment promptly, without delay in medical record collection, sorting, summarizing, and review time.

Let that sink in.

When we sit back and reflect on what we do at eHealth Technologies, it’s incredible what we can achieve for our clients and their patients on a daily basis. Behind every request is a person counting on us to deliver massive amounts of health care data, often in multiple systems and states, quickly and securely to their care team. By maximizing efficiency and technology, our staff makes the medical record process more efficient so that providers have all the information they need to deliver the best possible care to patients. As I reflect on this achievement, I am truly proud of our entire team for reaching this milestone in record time. And, with pride comes celebration! Events were held for each office in honor of achieving this milestone, complete with sweet local treats and commemorative t-shirts.

As many may already know, eHealth Technologies was formed in 2006 in a home office with a computer and a dream – to retrieve and organize medical records in a searchable, easy to navigate document, with key terms highlighted and summaries, to ultimately reduce the time it takes for patients to receive treatment. The company started with three employees and has expanded to 500 across three offices in New York, India, and Virginia. It took 12 years to reach one million patient requests, and just three and a half to reach two. This is a testament to our growth and ability to stay relevant over time.

In our very first year, we signed on 11 CIS clients. Today, eHealth Technologies services 93 CIS clients across 30 states, and 15 HIE clients across 13 states. It’s times like these that we can’t help but to reflect on our early clients that made it possible for eHealth Technologies to achieve its steady growth, like 15-year-customer, Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, the flagship of the Penn State Health multi-hospital system.

“We started first with our kidney and liver transplant program, and then added heart transplant after seeing great results: expedited turnaround times for health information retrieval and indexing,” says Sonya Bressler, CRNP, Advanced Heart Failure Therapies, Hershey Medical Center. “This allowed [us] to join the modern world – with [their] support, our staff is able to spend more time focusing on superior patient care.”

Over the years, we’ve learned that growth comes from listening and being in tune with our clients and their needs, understanding that as their operational needs evolve over time, so should our products and services. We continue to be committed to our clients, offering excellent customer service while our team remains committed to constant innovation behind the scenes.

This milestone achievement is one we are excited to celebrate, as we work even harder towards serving our three-millionth patient. Cheers to our fantastic team members and clients – not only are we celebrating the patients we serve every day – we are celebrating our team’s collective commitment to our mission at eHealth Technologies.
